This is published as-is, without filter or polish, on purpose:
I am not being myself because I’m afraid to be.
I don’t know if i have the strength to be that person.
I don’t like the weight of my potential.
And i care too much about short term approval.
I fear my GPS is wrong.
I dont want to be selfish or bad.
I think a lot of us are abdicating our power.
To trends, to ease, to happiness, to more confident people…
Someone is confident and then others follow them to feel confident because of them.
I am confident that uncertainty is the more valuable and more sure way to better outcomes, but I’m also confident it’s the less popular way
What little popularity I could have I miss because I’m not confident enough to be uncertain in public.
This is what i need to give myself permission to be.
IDGAF about what other people think.
But I don’t value what i think either.
Confident Uncertainty
And Mature uncertainty
vs. premature confidence and
Insecure chest pounding
and Apathy.
If you’re empathetic it hurts you.
If you’re apathetic it hurts others
But also you.
Maybe so many of us are depressed because we’ve given up on everybody.
We lost faith that we could make a difference.
We cant stop money, power, internet, socialmedia, richpeople, politicians, military, oppression, or greed.
Personality is dumb because it’s worship of extreme people that we can have emotions about while capitulating our own person-ness.
Character is hard when you do it alone.
The person with the most character still has character when everyone else is weak.

read twice, and then one more time; so beautiful, true and authentic.
There is a quiet courage in allowing uncertainty to remain visible. Some of our deepest convictions are not born from certainty, but from the willingness to keep listening before we conclude. Thank you for this honest reflection.
